The longer it takes to address your IRS problems, the more serious the penalties and interest you are likely to owe. Additionally, you may be subject to criminal investigation. If IRS problems are ignored, they tend to burgeon quickly into much larger problems. The penalties and interest exceed 100 percent in some cases if ignored for a period of time. Of course, the earlier you address the problem the better.
IRS tax problems can be solved, but inaction mostly can increase the severity of the problem. Arora Law Firm may be able to help you solve your problems with the IRS by handling all negotiations with IRS including Offer in Compromise. The clients of Arora Law Firm never meet with the IRS. We know how to deal with the IRS, so you don’t have to. Beware of organizations staffed with former IRS agents and personnel. We have never worked for the federal government and we are not on a government pension. If we are retained, we will owe a fiduciary duty to you as our client, not the government.
The IRS is currently offering an amnesty program for U.S taxpayers keeping in undisclosed offshore accounts. The IRS reminded taxpayers again this past week that the 2011 Offshore Voluntary Disclosure Initiative will expire on August 31, 2011. Time is running out to take advantage of a soon-to-expire opportunity to come forward and get your taxes current with the IRS. Smaller banks abroad in addition to major commercial banks are now sending letters to their customers advising them to seek legal counsel to address their undisclosed foreign accounts. This means that the banks you once thought had no duty to inform the U.S government about your accounts abroad are now being summoned by the IRS to disclose all their customers’ names. Taxpayers who come voluntarily through this program will get a better deal than those who wait for the IRS to find their foreign accounts. There is no guarantee that the IRS will offer another such program. Even if they do, there is a strong likelihood that the penalties will increase in severity from the current 25% penalties in addition to back taxes coupled with criminal prosecution. If you fear you may be someone who qualifies for this program, do not hesitate as time is running out.
